
Biography
Kimberly I. Marcus was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She earned her undergraduate degree in Anthropology — with an emphasis in Forensic and Biological Anthropology — from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2003, where she was a research assistant at the Bass Forensic Anthropology Center (the “Body Farm”).
Kimberly earned her J.D. from California Western School of Law in 2015, clerking at the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and the San Diego County Public Defender’s Office. She was a member of the Pro Bono Honors Society, Public Service Honor Society, Amnesty International, and the Bail Project, and was admitted to the California State Bar in 2016.
A self-proclaimed foodie and wine lover, Kimberly enjoys music, international travel, the arts, and walking her South Park neighborhood with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.
