MICHAEL S. AYERS was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, but spent most of his formative years in sunny Southern California. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from California State University, Fullerton in 1984, where he was also a member of the university’s basketball team. Michael went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Western State University College of Law in 1988 and was admitted to the California State Bar the following year, in 1989.

Outside of his legal career, Michael enjoys spending his free time biking, hiking, fishing, and playing golf.
