MICAELA L. SWIM was born and raised in San Diego, California. She earned dual degrees from the University of Oregon, graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a concentration in Human Rights and Law.

During her undergraduate studies, Micaela expanded her global perspective through a study abroad program in France. She also volunteered at a French immersion elementary school and with a Human Trafficking Awareness and Outreach initiative, deepening her commitment to justice and community service.

Micaela earned her Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2024. While in law school, she was an active member of the Mock Trial team, co-founded the Students for Sensible Drug Policy organization, and participated in the Second Chance Reentry Law Clinic, providing support to individuals transitioning back into society. She was also a member of Delta Theta Phi, a professional law fraternity. Micaela was admitted to the California State Bar in 2024.

Outside the office, Micaela enjoys spending time at the beach, reading, cooking, hiking, and traveling.
