Kaylee N. Riddle

Biography

Kaylee N. Riddle is originally from Indio, California. She earned her Associate's degree in Liberal Arts from College of the Desert in 2011. She then attended the University of California, San Diego, earning her Bachelor's degree in Sociology in 2013 with an emphasis in Law and Society. From there, Kaylee attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2018. While in law school, she served as Chief Articles Editor for the Thomas Jefferson Law Review. Kaylee was admitted to the California Bar in 2019 and to the United States District Court for the Southern District of California in 2022. She is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association and the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel.

Kaylee's practice is exclusively devoted to matters involving Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P., and Albertsons and Vons Companies. She was the first attorney at the firm to file and win a Motion for Forum Non-Conveniens. Before entering practice, Kaylee externed for a criminal defense firm and for the San Diego Department of Child Support Services. She also served as a teaching assistant for Contracts and Real Property throughout law school. Today, she mentors the firm's junior associates working on Penske matters.

Kaylee is active in the community. She has volunteered as a judge for the San Diego County High School Mock Trial Competition for the past five years and for the UCSD Mock Trial Competition. She also takes on pro bono matters involving domestic violence restraining orders, landlord/tenant disputes, and estate planning.

Outside of work, Kaylee is a self-described homebody. She enjoys curling up with her two dogs, Mona and Athena, and her boyfriend Mitch, to watch horror movies. She also loves cooking, grilling, and smoking food, and cherishes time spent with those who matter most to her. She and Mitch live on a ranch in Ramona, California, where they plan to build a micro-farm. Their plans include growing fruits and vegetables, opening a farm stand, and raising two horses, India and Phoenix, along with goats, chickens, and other farm animals. The property also includes a casita, affectionately dubbed the “Nanasita,” where her grandmother plans to spend her summers escaping the Palm Springs heat.
